Week 4 was a really exciting week for Year 4!
On Wednesday we were lucky enough to consolidate the learning from our Geography unit with an excursion to Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre. During our day there we enjoyed a number of activities including water testing, bird observation, dip netting and invertebrate identification. We examined the geographic features of the site and its uses in supporting biodiversity, recreation and housing/ industry.
Friday was an exciting day in the OLOL calendar: Mission to Busk! We celebrated this important day with mass, with some of our Year 4 students assisting with reading prayers or the offertory. Following this, we enjoyed a picnic lunch with some of our families and then prepared to busk. Thanks to our many students who shared their talents- singing, dancing, origami, martial arts, folk dancing, comedy and some very talented musicians on instruments such as keyboard and drums. Money raised from these students' hard work will go to Catholic Mission.ππ
