FIAT - 2024 OLOL Mission To Busk Afternoon Our Mission To Busk Afternoon last Friday was a great success. It was wonderful to see all the students fully supporting this Catholic Mission initiative by busking and / or donating coins towards a needy cause. We are also very grateful for the incredible support provided by all our parents.

Week 4 was a really exciting week for Year 4! On Wednesday we were lucky enough to consolidate the learning from our Geography unit with an excursion to Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre. During our day there we enjoyed a number of activities including water testing, bird observation, dip netting and invertebrate identification. We examined the geographic features of the site and its uses in supporting biodiversity, recreation and housing/ industry. Friday was an exciting day in the OLOL calendar: Mission to Busk! We celebrated this important day with mass, with some of our Year 4 students assisting with reading prayers or the offertory. Following this, we enjoyed a picnic lunch with some of our families and then prepared to busk. Thanks to our many students who shared their talents- singing, dancing, origami, martial arts, folk dancing, comedy and some very talented musicians on instruments such as keyboard and drums. Money raised from these students' hard work will go to Catholic Mission.ππ

Year 3 have been exploring different sculptures during our art lessons. They were very excited to create their own name sculptures using paper.

π Year 6 had their Market Day Stall today. π Theyβve been preparing and working hard on their stalls in class. All the groups did a fantastic job in setting up and selling their products. Thank you to all the students who bought some items and played the games at the stalls, to help with fundraising for the Year 6 graduation disco. πͺπ©ππ«π¬

A huge congratulations to Ben who placed second in the 11yr Boys 100m and 200m event at the NSWPSSA athletics championships last week. Ben will now compete in both events as well as the 100m relay at the School sport Australia Track and field national event later in November. This is an outstanding result. We are very proud of Ben and his achievements! Stay tuned for more updates as Ben takes on Nationals and continues to represent our school with excellence and pride.
