2018 National Young Leaders Day
On the 12th of March all of O.L.O.L Year Six leaders attended the Young National Leaders day in Darling Harbour. On the day there were 5000 students from all across NSW at the International Convention Centre. We got to meet DJ Raph and Gemma who hosted the Halogen event. Four speakers spoke who were John Coutis, Harrison Craig, Lauren Cheatle and Matt Cosgrove. All four speakers were very inspirational for our Year Six Leaders as each speaker spoke about the different ways they dealt with their problems. For example, John Coutis who had a physical disability spoke to us about how we can prevent bullying and how if we don’t face our fears we just create problems. Another inspiration was Harrison Craig, the winner of The Voice in 2013. Harrison showed us that there are no limits to what we can do and we should have goals and milestones to reach our dreams. This event has made our 2018 leaders want to aspire to our goals. Our leaders have learnt the fundamentals of being a good leader at Our Lady Of Lourdes.
