2018 Infants Dance Fever Concert

At the end of Term 2 the Infants students prepared a special concert for their parents to show them all the wonderful dances they have been learning in their Dance Fever lessons this term. It was a lovely afternoon where the parents even got to join in and dance as well.

2018 June Principal Morning Tea

At the end of Term 2 all the students who achieved excellent effort in all areas in their Semester 1 reports were invited to a special Principal Morning Tea hosted by Ms. Byrnes. The students enjoyed their yummy treats. Congratulations to all these students for their wonderful efforts.

2018 Stage 2 Game Design

At the end of Term 2 the boys and girls in Stage 2 enjoyed sharing their amazing game designs they have been working on in their Science lessons. The students all enjoyed learning how the games were made and playing them.

2018 June Principal Morning Tea

At the end of last term Ms Byrnes organised a lovely morning tea for all the students who had outstanding effort in all areas in their half-yearly report. Congratulations to these students.

2018 Dance Fever Competition

On Friday 29th June 2018 approximately 110 students from Year Three to Year Six represented Our Lady of Lourdes at the Dance Fever Interschool Competition at Homebush. They performed the formal dances of the Samba and Waltz and then participated in the whole school showdance competition where they performed against a number of other schools. All students represented our school with pride and won a number of individual ribbons as well as the Year Four Trophy and the prestiges Show Dance Trophy. It was a very successful and enjoyable night for all.

2018 Musica Viva Taikoz Performance

On Thursday the 28th of June students in Years 3-6 had a very special learning experience in seeing the Japanese drumming group, “Taikoz” perform in the school hall. The students got to see and learn the names of Japanese instruments such as the Taiko drums, the Chappa cymbals and the Shinobue flute. The students also got to join in with actions and movement to the performances. Some lucky students got to have a turn playing the instruments as well. It was a wonderful experience for the students and teachers and a great way to finish our Music learning this term.

2018 Athletics Carnival

On Monday the 25th of June OLOL held our 2018 Athletics Carnival. The students of OLOL enjoyed a beautiful day with perfect weather for the 2018 Athletics Carnival. All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 were very busy with Tabloid, Track and Field events. Thank you very much to the parents who assisted with set up, pack up, track and field events. Your time and effort was truly appreciated. Thank you to Staff and Students for their participation and amazing sportsmanship!

2018 World Cupathon

On Friday the 15th of June OLOL held it's 2018 World Cupathon to celebrate the Soccer World Cup and raise money for our school. Students were placed into country teams and competed in fun events all day. A great day was had by all.

2018 Music Lessons

This term the OLOL students in Years 3-6 have been learning to play Ukulele, Keyboards and Drums. In groups they have been working on composing their own piece of music to share with the class, as well as creating it in Garageband on the iPads. It's been a lot of fun!

2018 John Burland Concert

On Monday the 4th of June we had a surprise concert. John Burland was visiting the Parish and was generous enough to spend some time with the children singing and performing during our usual assembly time. John Burland is an educator and composer who has been writing and recording religious music for children and adults for over twenty years. The children had a fantastic time learning new songs and singing songs they knew with great enthusiasm. Even our choir that is only two weeks in the making had the opportunity to make their debut performance.
